a day at farmers market

i love a great farmers market. i can smell the sweet fruit and fresh flowers. i started this new program get my family healthy. Dad needs to lose weight and lets face it we all can drop a few lbs. now for the twist. try shopping with four kids in 90 degree temp and one daughter who insists on driving me. i smell a trick here. the two-hour trip which turns into all day. hummm i do admit it was so fun to watch the kids stuff choc chip cookies in their mouth, followed by watermelon. the spray fountain at the mall they so enjoyed, tick tick tick.time to go soon? lunch was in order.  on the way to get ben and jerry ice cream, we stop in front of ear piecing store. ok i get it trinity louise has wanted earrings for a while. now my veggies are wilting. ok this is gonna be priceless. a 6 year old hates pain, blood and paper cuts. great!  mommie cleverly walks her into the store and I have never seen a child run out so fast screaming at the top of her lungs.  i was sure cps would appear in a moment. this goes on for thirty minutes. then she stops. A cute little angel girls told her no big deal. really no tears or drama. hummm  bravely she picks out a pair and waits in mommies lap. i am sure by now we had a dozen people waiting to see how fast she would jump out of the chair. it did not happen. two sales ladies bravely did it. oh then the water works and big hugs. all done.  trinity louise was so happy to show off her earrings. i was so happy i was able to experience her journey to big girl. my wilted veggies survived all is good, well until mommie has to clean them. me i will be safely home
